Oh how I love having twins......

So, last night I told Asher and Grayson to wash their hands before supper. (hind sight 20/20 - never let both go inthe bathroom together without supervision.) Anyway, Asher came out a few minutes later and asked me to smell his hands. They smelt clean but I couldn't recognize the smell right away.............................I asked him what it was and he said, with a big proud smile, toothpaste! Yep, they washed their hands with toothpaste. I guess the soap next to the sink was too boring. Needless to say, I had lots of toothpaste to wash off the bathroom counter. There is never a dull moment in our house!

The Mighty Howard County Fair!

This past Saturday we headed down to Cresco for the "Mighty Howard County Fair!" It was VERY hot, but we had a great time. We stopped at Cherri and Gerry's on the way and had some lunch and then we all headed to the fair. We went through all the animal barns and that was great, but then the boys found these.......

Asher checking out the 4 wheeler. There were also tractors and rangers which they also spent quite a bit of time on.

Grayson looking tough on the 4 wheeler.

Then we let them pick 1 ride and of course they chose the "sotermycles" As you can see, they loved it! Eston chose to play a game - a Fishing game - and he won a panda bear!
They even had free face painting. The girls were pretty young but I think they did ok. Eston was disappointed that there were only 2 stars on his flag.

Grayson went easy and chose the green smiley face. Asher wa busy eating his cookie and missed getting his face painted.
Monkeying around at the howard county fair.

Then we head back to Cherri and Gerry's for another Ranger ride. Here they are with daddy. Eston was busy catching butterflies - he actually caught 2, one with the dog dish and one with an icecream pail on a stick.

Grayson and Cherri riding in the wagon - I am not sure who is having more fun.

One of the reasons we went to the fair is because they had a kids pedal tractor pull. Since the boys all love to ride the pedal tractor at Grandma and Grandpa's we thought this would be right up their alley.
This is Grayson's first pull. Unfortunately, I didn't get it in focus before he started. Anyway, you can still see that he did a great job! He did not place but he had a great time. We will definatley be going back next year. Not too bad for his first time.

This was Asher's second pull. I was not able to upload his first pull because the file was too large. When they called his name he almost didn't do it, too shy, but then we were going to laet Grayson go first and that was enough to get Asher on the tractor. Asher did a full pull the first time through and they had a 5 way tie so each kid had to do a second pull. For the second pull they add extra weight so it is a little harder. As you can see, he was very excited. He got 4th place! Way to go bud!

Eston also did a pull but dad did not get it recorded. Eston did great also - 4th place finish! He missed third by a very small amount. We will definately have to do some training for next year :).

Flowers

Here are a few flower pics that I took this weekend.

Here is a flower that was at the entrance at Como.

Grandma's roses

Father's Day

Sunday morning the boys went in to wake dad up and wish him a Happy Father's Day. They gave him a couple of shirts and a new Twins hat. They were acting a little goofy and had a good time posing for this shot. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD - YOU ARE THE BEST!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Saturday Fun!

Saturday we took the kids to Como Zoo. It was the perfect day, not too hot or too cold. The boys were very excited to see all the animals so it was a little hard to listen at times, but we had a good time. Here are a couple pictures from the Zoo.....

Tim and the boys walking on the path to the zoo.

I love this shot too. Eston and Grayson were looking at the ducks in the pond to the left. The quote on Tim's shirt reads "the words you are looking for are YES DAD!"

This was totally a lucky shot. The snow leopard just happened to yawn when I snapped the pictures.

I love this shot of the lion just hanging out. The animals were all where we could see them, which was great for the kids.
After Como we decided to take a detour and stop at Kevin and Marcy's to visit a bit.
We pretty much walked throuh the door and the boys headed right for the pool in the back yard. It is the perfect pool for them, there is a deep end but they had floaties so they were able to go off the diving board. The only time the sun came out that afternoon was when they were in the pool.

Eston Jumping in. I would love to have this in my backyard. Beautiful pool and yard!

Grayson having some fun swimming. He didn't want to go off the diving board, he said it was too deep.

Here is Grayson with all the appropriate gear. I love this shot.

And then there is Asher. He was not afraid of anything. He grabbed a noodle and started jumping off the diving board. He did a great job, we didn't have to help him at all, he would swim to the side and do it all over again, all on his own.

Gotta love the goggles.

Here he goes, jumping off the board.

I had to take this shot of his face, after he took the goggles off. They were tight, but they did keep the water out.

Here is Eston jumping off the diving board and catching a ball at the same time. He did this for about an hour. Anyway, I shut the camera off about 10 seconds too soon. When Eston threw the ball back to Tim, it hit him in the groin and Eston said "Happy Father's Day!" We all just about died, it was so funny! I wish I would have gotten it on camera.
Here is Asher showing us his skills jumping off the board.
THANK YOU KEVIN AND MARCY FOR A SUPER FUN AFTERNOON. WE WILL DEFINATELY HAVE TO COME BACK AND VISIT AGAIN ......SOON!

"Diving Board"

This is what I caught Asher and Grayson doing the other day. You always have to wonder what they are doing if it is quiet for a while. They told me they were playing "diving board" in their room. Gotta love their imagination.

All the Kiddos

Here is a picture of All the Ferrie Grandkids after Elise's baptism on Sunday. The kids all had a ton of fun playing at Auntie Lauri's house (they always do!).

I had to do a lot of cropping on this one so I could post it. Probably would have been easier to do if I would have done it with my photo editing software. This will do for now.

Wellspring at the Ferrie's

On Saturday night we had a get together out at Mom and Dad's with Pastor Meg and some of the Wellspring Group. It was so much fun. Holly and Jake were able to make it too, it was so great to see them! Wellspring and Jake all took turns singing and it was amazing! They all have such awesome voices. I wanted to upload some video but it is too big to post. I need to figure out how to "crop" my videos.

Anyway, it was a super fun night!

Last Day of Kindergarten!

Today was Eston's last day of kindergarten. I can hardly believe it. It seems like we just started. It is scary how fast the time has gone by. He has grown so much over this past year.

Here he is coming out the Kindergarten door for the last time.

So serious.

Eston and Mrs. Fryer - the BEST teacher ever!!! Thank you for everything, we will definately miss you next year!

Eston and his kindergarten shirt. All the kids made these special shirts to remember some of their favorite times during the past year.
We are so proud of you bud! You are one Awesome Kid! xoxoxo Mom and Dad

One last lunch with Eston......

Monday, I went to help out in Eston's class and then stayed to have lunch with Eston one more time before school was out. It was a lot of fun - he has a great class!
r
Eston and one of his best buddies - Cole. They even have the same haircut.

Then we headed out to shoot some hoops on the playground. It was a lot of fun - it is so weird to hear all these little guys calling me "Mrs. Paulson."

Here they are, don't they look tough? TJ, Eston, Chase and Cole. Thanks for a super fun year boys!

Taylor Kay Ferrie

We are on a roll.......Saturday, June 5th I welcomed my 3rd niece into the world.
Taylor Kay Ferrie weighed in at 6lb 9oz and 18.5 inches long. Adam and Jacie are so excited and it is so fun to see them as parents. It is very weird though, they do not seem old enough to be having kids!

Taylor Kay - isn't she beautiful

Asher taking his turn holding his new cousin. He loves all his new baby cousins!

Grayson had to take a turn too. She didn't cry very much, as soon as he started talking to her she quieted down. --What do you think of Grayson's fancy hair? He wanted it spikey.

Congratulations Adam and Jacie, we are so excited for you!!!!!

Visit to the Caffrey's

Becky was nice enough to take each of the boys, separately, down to the farm to spend the day. The boys each had an awesome time, from what I hear they didn't want to come home. Eston is anxiously waiting his turn - he has to wait until school is out.
To see pictures from Asher and Grayson's adventures with the Caffrey's check out Becky's blog at http://caffreyr.blogspot.com/

THANKS GUYS!!!!

Memorial Day

As I noted below, we spent the entire day out at Mom and Dad's. This was the result of our super fun day!

Another dare devil moment

We weren't out to mom and dad's on Monday and the weather was absolutely beautiful. We spent the entire day playing out side. Here is Asher (again) riding the big wheel down the hill. Anyone want to place a wager as to how many times we will be in the ER this summer????

Last Soccer Game

Esty had his last soccer game and it just had to be one of the hottest nights ever. Eston had Tim cut off the sleeves on his shirt and then he used one of them for sweat band. They had a great night. We will definately be playing some soccer again!

Eston and Cole warming up. Cole is one of Eston's buddies. He even had to get his hair cut like Cole - except we added the lightening bolt.

I love this shot of Cole.

Eston getting ready to kick the ball.

"Man it is hot out here!"

Eston and Cole sporting their very own medals! Way to go boys!

My dare devil

While I was getting my hair cut, Asher got to play with Victor. This is what I came out to. He definately is my dare devil - not afraid to try anything!

Garten Marketplatz Field Trip

I was lucky enough to chaperone the Kindergarten field trip to Garten Marketplatz. We lucked out and had a gorgeous day! The kids were all great and learned a lot about the different kinds of plants.

Here I am with my group - Bennett, Eston and Jack. The boys are holding clip boards for our scavenger type hunt. They had a list of things they had to find while we were there. They had a lot of fun using their talley marks.

Here they are posing so nicely by the big tree.

This nest of baby robins was at about chest level. I couldn't believe that a bird would bild a nest that low and in such a wide open space. The kids all thought it was awesome.
It was a very fun day!
