It Finally Happened...............

ESTON LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!! He lost it at 2:51pm on 9/28/10, while leaving school. Mrs. Fryer was nice enough to put it in a little toy chest and wrote a note so we knew exactly when he lost it.

Posing with his new gap!

Here is the tooth. It was his chipped tooth so it was very small. But, I guess size doesn't matter because the Tooth Fairy brought him a dollar. Man, talk about inflation, she only used to bring me a quarter.

Harvest 2010 (visit 1)

2 weeks ago me and the boys headed down to Iowa in hopes to do some harvesting. We started out the day by taking 2 semi loads of corn to the grainery. The boys had a blast!!
Grayson showing me how they empty the corn out of the semi.

Then Danny took the boys inside one of the grain sheds so they could play in the corn. It was so hazy in there but they had an absolute blast!

Eston playing in the corn.

Here they are posing by the semi after playing in the corn. They looked like ghosts - they were completely covered in corn dust.

Eston

When we got back Eston and Cherri went to the hay shed to set up some raccoon traps. Eston was bound and determined to catch a raccoon. The plan was that if he caught one, Jerry would kill it and skin it and then Eston would take it home so dad could make him a coon skin hat. I just smiled!

Caffrey farm hands posing in the bean field.

They look so darn cute in their caffrey farms t-shirts.

Asher and Grayson in the combine tire.

In the combine with Uncle Jerry - this is just like christmas for these two.

Posing by the corn crop.

At the end of the day Eston decided he should try and laso one of the new kittens. I was very suprised that the kitten played along as well as it did.

Dirt Devil..

Here is our little dirt devil. This afternoon the boys were playing with the Smith boys in the mud puddles across the street. Grayson thought it would be a good idea to ride his bike through the puddles, thus covering himself in mud, litteraly from head to toe! He has socks on but you can't tell because his legs are covered in mud. His little toes were like prunes by the time I got him to come in and take a bath. The bath water looked like chocolate milk! Gotta Love Boys!!! They had fun, that is all that matters right! Dirt washes off!

First Football Game

Saturday morning Eston had his first Flag Football game. It was a bit cooler than we expected so we had hats, sweatshirts and blankets along (true football weather). The kids all did a great job playing together. Eston was running back at the beginning of the game and scored the first touchdown - almost the entire length of the field.

Here he goes - Cole was the only one who could stay somewhat close to him.

Then there were two trying to catch him......

Looking back to see how close the defense is getting.......

SCORE!!!!! Look at all those kiddos running after him. Way to go buddy!! You definately have speed, not quite sure who you got that from but we will take it!!

Here he is on defense trying to catch Cole. Cole also had a great game.

Asher's First Day of Preschool 2010

Today was Asher's first day of preschool with Mrs. Nancy. He will be going every Thurs and Fri from 9-11 and he gets to ride the bus from Becky's house. I asked Becky to take some pics for me and she was able to get some GREAT pictures. It is amazing how much more exciting and brave they are when Mom isn't there.

All ready to go! He looks so big.

Asher and Trey waiting for the bus. Trey is Becky's youngest and Asher was excited that they were going to ride the bus together.

Heading off to their first day of school.
For those of you wondering, Grayson's new daycare is also a preschool so he will continue to go there everyday. He is doing great and is loving it! Every time we pick him up the teachers tell us how wonderful he is and how he is such a sweetheart. It has worked out great and he is already learning so much! Although - he was a little sad that he didn't get to ride the bus with Asher.

2 more hats

2 more hats that I attempted this week. They turned out pretty good.

1st Day of School 2010

September 7, 2010 - Today was Eston's 1st day of 1st Grade. He got up like a champ, showered, dressed and ate his favorite breakfast, while watching Martha.

Scrambled Eggs with hotdogs and toast.

He had to change up his wardrobe a little as it was a lot colder than we were hoping. Check out the NEW SHOES!! He is a smooth talker and was able to talk me into Adidas Superstars.

Grayson and Asher wanted to have their picture with Eston too. They both gave him a big hug when they left with daddy to go to daycare.

Here he is walking towards the playground.

Eston and Daddy having a little chat while walking to school.
He was very excited and to my dismay did not want to give me a hug in front of all the other kids. He wouldn't let me take anymore pictures once he lined up because he told me last night that he would only pose for 2 pictures and I had already met my quota.
Happy 1st day of school bud - we love you so much and are very proud of you!!!

Cousins

Officially a Football MOM!

Thursday night marked Eston's first Football practice. It is so much fun - should be interesting to watch them running plays. His first game is 9/11 @ 8:30 (guess we won't be sleeping in on Saturday's for a while.

Here they are running laps to warm up.

NICE CATCH!

Look at that form!
Should be a fun season!!

Fish Fish Fish

Last weekend Tim and I took the boys down to Lanesboro to the Trout Hatchery. I have been wanting to take them all summer but we hadn't had a chance. It was a beautiful day and a perfect day to do anything fish related!

Tim and the boys feeding the Rainbow Fingerlings. The boys thought it was so cool to watch them jump out of the water to get the food. There were so many fish in there the water looked black.

Asher and Grayson watching the fish.

Tim and the boys by the natural springs that provides the water for the entire hatchery.

After we got home, we decided to take the boys to Florence park to go fishing. There is not much in there for fish, but at least they get some bites. Here is Grayson patiently waiting for a bite.

Asher was so proud, this was he first fish he has ever caught all by himself. It was only a 6 inch bullhead, but when he tells the story to people, it is about 2 feet long!

Eston working the pond to get a nibble.

Grayson Tim and Asher found a nice shady spot to fish.

This is the Monster Eston caught!
It was a very FUN Family Day!
