Way to go ESTON!!!

When we got home from work today we decided to take Eston's training wheels off his bike and see if he could do it. We tried in the backyard first and he took right off....so we headed out to the street. He took right off and was riding up and down the street. After about 10 minutes he could turn, stop and start all by himself. So, after supper we headed to Bonner to ride around the playground for a bit. He did so awesome and only wiped out once and that was after going down the big hill. I am amazed at how quickly he took to riding without training wheels. He was so proud....he started singing "I believe I can fly" which is funny because I have no idea where he heard that. He also said "I am a very lucky boy mom." Man I Love that kid!

Maybe it is just because I am mom, but they are so darn cute. I love you guys so much! Thanks for an awesome night. And Eston, we are very very proud of you. We knew you could do it!

We Already Miss You!!!

Well, Friday was a sad day for us.....it was Beth's last day before she headed back to school. While I had a garage sale, she took the boys out to lunch at McDonalds and then to the House of Bounce. They had an absolute blast! Beth said they were just sweating up a storm. The were definately tired when they got home (after 5). You are an amazing person to take all 3 of them out and about by yourself.
You have been a blessing for us and for the kids and we will miss you a ton! Thank you Beth for taking such good care of our kids, you definately have a special gift!! Take care and good luck at school. Remember, you can stop by anytime, we would love to see you!

Busy Monday

We started our day by visiting Asher and Grayson's new daycare. I thought it would be good to visit a couple of times before they start on September 1st. There will be a total of 8 when Asher and Grayson start - 3 girls and 5 boys. It will be nice because most of the kids are 3-4 years old so they will have lots of friends to play with. Another plus is that Jayce Klug goes to the daycare next door, so they will already know one of the kids in the "neighborhood."

The twins call her "different Becky" because my cousin is also named Becky. This is how they tell them apart.

After our daycare visit we came home and had an early lunch. We sat in our bag chairs in the garage - they thought it was fun.

After lunch Brecken came over to play. Here are the 3 of them playing in the sandbox. I think this is hilarious because we have a huge sandbox but they decided to all sit in the tiny swimming pool and scoop the sand into it.

Wedding Shower

On Saturday I headed to Cresco, IA for my cousing Torie's wedding shower. She is getting married the end of September. Here are a few pictures from the shower.

What a beautiful day!

What a beautiful Saturday! This has to be one of the most beautiful days we have had all summer. We played some baseball in the back yard, rode bikes in the driveway and then decided to take the kids to Oxbo Park. Here are some pictures from our fun day.

Amazing

Well, we got the good news on Monday and so far things have been great. When I got home from work on Tuesday he said he wanted to go swimming. I have to admit, I as very nervous. I thought for sure it would sting something fierce, but he was determined. I took him down and he walked right in. We swam for an hour and a half and the only thing that bothered his foot was jumping off the diving board. I actually think it might have helped a little....after we got home and he showered I was able to cut off a lot of the dead skin on the bottom of his foot.
He has been keeping a sock on it when he plays outside, I think he is still a little nervous to get it dirty (fine with me)! It just amazes me how quickly he healed. The doctor at Mayo thought it would take up to 10 weeks and then he would probably need surgery and physical therapy - but after seeing the doctors at the Regions Burn Center, we are almost healed after 2 weeks. AMAZING!

Nervous Mom

Okay, so I am a little nervous about the all clear! We bought Eston some new school shoes after the doctor appt yesterday and when we took them off for bed the side of his foot was really hurting. I think we will take it slow......no pool or barefoot just yet. We will go shoes and socks for a few days first. I am a rookie with burns but it doesn't look ready for all that yet, but that is what the doctor said and I guess he has a little more experience with this.

ALL CLEAR!

Eston had a doctors appointment today at Regions Burn Center. We weren't quite sure what the outcome would be, but we were hoping he would at least be able to start walking more or start wearing shoes. Well, he got the all clear! The doctor said there is virtually no risk for infection at this point and since he has healed so fast he can return to his regular routine, including: swimming, running, biking, playing in the sandbox, walking around barefoot, etc. Eston also asked if he could go swimming in the lake and the doctor said YES. I was suprised about the sandbox and swimming pool but the doctor said he would be fine. We have to make sure we use a lot of sunscreen on his burn areas to keep the new skin protected. He also said that since he healed so fast there will most likely be NO SCARS! It could take up to a year for the skin color to look normal but there should be no lasting affects.

You cannot imagine how excited and suprised we were. Thank you all for your support and prayers, we have proof that they all worked!!!!!

The Rainbow Boys

So we went to church on Sunday and sat with Grandpa and Adam. While we were sitting there I noticed that all the guys were dressed in bright colored polo shirts and we had all the colors of the rainbow, except purple. I told Adam he had to come over after church so I could take a picture.

I had to post this because it was so cute. Asher had chocolate milk in this cup and turned to me and said "this is my coffee mom."

Mower County Fair

On Friday night we met the Paulsons (tim's brothers family) at the Mower County Fair in Austin. It was a lot of fun and VERY HOT! We went through all the animal barns and then let the kids pick 2 rides. Here are a few pics.

This was one of the highlights of the night. Grandma took all 3 on the Ferris Wheel. They had a blast and asked to go again, but opted for the Carousel instead.

The Tractor Pull! I finally found something that the twins will sit still and watch for a long period of time!!!!!! Unfortunately, we couldn't sit there all night.
