Taylor Kay

Jacie emailed me this picture of Taylor this morning. I made her this hat the day she was born, unfortunately it did not fit her then. She has since grown into it and she looks absolutely adorable. Thank you for sending me this cute picture!!!

A few new hats........

Today I finished my first watermellon hat. I couldn't wait to try it on Elise - she looks so darn cute!

I was asked by a friend to make a sock monkey hat for a baby gift. I was pretty impressed at how it turned out, as I did not have a pattern and just looked at a picture.

Road Closed

The construction has started on our road. It is quite a mess right now but the boys are loving it. Every night there are large machines moving dirt and what better entertainment is there for little boys!

Grayson took this picture.
View of the street.

Asher talked the workers ears off on Thurs. night - We just stood back and laughed. He was right down in there asking a thousand questions. It was so cute.
This large sand pile was in front of the neighbors house for an entire weekend. The boys played in it every day - on Saturday night there was a total of 7 kids on that pile all with dumptrucks. I guess if we have to pay for the construction, we might as well let the kids have some fun!

Thank You Beth

Sunday, August 15th marked our last day with Beth. We have been so blessed to have her in our lives. Beth, you have watched over our boys for the past 3 years and created so many great memories for all of us. We wish you all the BEST, we will definately miss you!

Siren Trip #2

This past weekend we headed back to Siren to visit the Mangelsen clan. We were lucky enough to have Beth along to help watch the boys. We all had a great time. Beth watched the kids 2 nights so us "adults" could go out for supper. The kids were all great and had so much fun together. Thank you Mangelsen's for an awesome vacation! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Tim showing the kids one of the bass he caught.

Asher fishing in the sunset.

Asher and Grayson fishing off the dock. This was their first "real" fishing experience. They did not catch anything, but they sure had fun casting. (just a note, there were no major injuries during this fishing experience, although Beth did get a hook in the toe)

This is the first bass Tim caught. Eston and Hannah took the bass to the pond so they could watch it. They weren't able to see the fish but they had fun trying to catch it again. Anything to keep them occupied!

Look at these little princesses! Grayson, Grace and Asher. They love playing dress up with Grace and all is good because they never ask us to buy dresses! These three played so great the entire time we were there.

Beth and Grayson hanging out on the boat.

Daddy trying out the knee board

Tim had such a great time on the board and tubes. It was nice to see him having so much fun!

Beth showing us her moves on the knee board. She makes it look so easy.

Lah Dee Dah, this is so easy!

Beth tubing with Asher and Grayson. This was their first time in a tube and they loved it!

Gracie watching the boys tube. She is such a little sweetie1

Jake was able to take a turn on the tube. Tim was happy because then he got to drive the boat.

Beth and Eston also took a turn on the tube. I wish I could upload the video because Eston just about flew out of the tube a few times - it is fun to watch. Eston loved it too!

here he is getting ready for his ride

I love this shot.
I wanted to post some video of all of us tubing, yes I even went on the purple tube with Beth, but the videos are too large to put on the blog. Oh well, just know that we had a blast and the next time you come over we can play the videos for you!

1 year ago.......

August 1, 2010 marked one year since Eston fell into the campfire. I was obvious a little anxious for this weekend but everything went well. Eston has overcome his fear of the campfire, but is very careful when there is a campfire any where near him.

We are so proud of him. He has come a very long way and you can barely even tell he was ever burned.

Ferrie Family Fun Weekend 2010

This past weekend was the annual Ferrie Family Fun Weekend out at mom and dad's. We always have so much fun and it is so awesome to see and hang out with everyone. Tim took the boys out to mom and dad's on Friday night to camp out. I got to stay home alone and do nothing - it was GREAT!! Saturday everyone was at mom and dad's and it was a beautiful day! We all just hung out and then after lunch we got out the 100ft waterslide. The water slide is awesome and with all the water and soap that is added to make it go faster, the slide ends up going about another 50ft into the grass. Some people even made it into the woods. It was a muddy mess but definately a ton of fun!!!! I have a ton of pictures uploaded and it was hard to pick because I took over 300 on Saturday alone. Here are a few of my favorites!

OK this is definately one of my very favorites - "More Bars in More Places"

Jessica after making it into the woods.

Tori and Cole having some fun on the water slide.

Kayla making a "splash"

Eston doing CPR on Tim after he went down the waterslide. I was laughing so hard. I wish I had video taped it.

Grayson sporting his muddy grass covered face/body.

Boston posing for his picture after going down the water slide.

The whole crew showing off their muddy, grassy bodies.

Britian after going down the waterslide with her dad.

Tim after he made it down. You can see the soap on his face, they had just dumped a bunch on the slide before he went down.
Dad finally changed into his trucks and gave the waterslide a try.

He was very good at making a huge splash!

Adam went down too, however he barely got dirty.

Audrey - loving every minute of it.

Grayson sliding through the muddy grass.

Asher enjoying the muddy grass!!

Eston enjoying the muddy grass - amazing how much my boys love playing in the mud. After watching all the "men" go down, I know where they get it.

Britian and Ava going down the slide together. Those two are so dang cute. They had so much fun

Eston trying out the tube.

Boston flying down the slide.
