All the boys at Oxbo

Last Monday morning we headed to Oxbo to check out the animals. We rode with Lauri, Brecken and Elise - and when we got there we met up with Heather, Fischer, Berkley, Angie, Dane and Dylan. It was so much fun watching all the boys hang out together......and they did GREAT!

Here are all the boys hanging out on the bench swing.

Asher in one of the cool trees at Oxbo.

Grayson in the tree.

Brecken in the tree. He did good, even though he was a little nervous.

And Fischer!

And then here is Angie. She couldn't just sit in the tree like the boys, she had to do something a little more exciting. At least she did this AFTER the boys were done! Otherwise, I am sure I would have had to make a trip to the ER!
It was a super fun Monday - Thanks Ladies for bringing your kiddos to hang out!

Eston's 6th Birthday

For Eston's 6th Birthday he wanted to have a few friends out to Grandpa and Grandma's to go fishing. We lucked out and had a beautiful day. The boys all had lots of fun - even though they did not catch any fish.

Before they headed down to the river they ate a little lunch. Here they are from left to right, Nathan, Eston, Jonathan, Bennet, Asher and Grayson. Asher and Grayson joined the boys for lunch but stayed up by the house while they went fishing.

Eston fishing. The boys all spreadout along the river to fish, which was good so their lines didn't get tangled up.

Still trying to catch that fish. The only thing they caught that day was a stick and a leaf.

Opening presents. He got everything he wanted! This was his frog webkins that he got from Jonathan.

After his friends left, we had all the family out for supper. This is the cake (brownie) that I made for him. As you can see, the little guys couldn't keep their fingers out of it.

Posing with the cake. He was very tired by this point and did not want to have his picture taken, so I was lucky to get this one.
Happy Birthday Buddy - I can't believe that you are already six! We love you!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was perfect this year. The boys all gave me wonderful handcrafted gifts.........and here they are!
Eston made me a book. It was a mother's day book of all the kindergarteners and their moms.
Here is what Eston wrote about me. I love kindergarten art.

Here is my gift from Asher. They had their pictures taken at Becky's and then made cute frames. Love it!

This is Grayson's. It looked a lot happier when he gave it to me, I should have taken a picture then. I love the post, so even though the flower has past, I kept the pot with the heart in it.
The Friday before Mother's day, I came home to find a package sitting by the door and this is what was in it - aren't they gorgeous! I love tulips.

I love how these 3 were right next to each other - reminds me of my 3 beautiful boys.
Thanks for a wonderful Mother's Day!

Preparation

On Saturday night we worked on some of our Mother's day gifts. Here are the boys hard at work. I am a little mad because I forgot to take pictures of all the final projects. Oh well, we still had a lot of fun.

Eston is such an awesome Artist. He did a great job on his pot.

Grayson is definately a free spirit. He loves mixing all the colors together - it looked camo green by the time he was done.

Asher worked very hard on his and it turned out great.

The Circus is in town!

This past Wednesday the Circus came to town. The boys all got free tickets from school, so I thought I would be brave and take them. This was the first time the twins had ever been to a "show" where they had to just sit and watch. They all did great!!! I didn't get too many pictures just because it was so dark in there, but here are 2 of our favorites.

The Elephants. If you ask the boys what they saw at the circus they will tell you "the elephants pooped!"

Uncle Rob, Lauri and Brecken also came. Lauri got tickets to ride the elephant so we had to too. Eston did not want to ride - he had to have something from the souvenier counter.
We all had a great time. Definately something everyone should go to at least once.

Archery

Last weekend we took Eston out to tryout his bow. This was the first time he has ever been able to practice with it so we weren't sure what to expect. We were all amazed at how well he did. He only missed the hay bails once, and hit the target quite a few times.

Dad helping him get everything set up.

Look at that form and focus!

And the results! Way to go buddy - We are so amazed by how well you shoot that bow!

Who needs a hoop?

Eston and Grandma were playing basketball the other night, however it wasn't exactly the way you would think...................

Grandma was holding a cool whip bowl and Eston was trying to shoot the ball into the bowl. Notice, there actually is a basketball hoop in the background. I guess that wasn't quite challenging enough.
