August 2012

August was actually a fairly quiet month (ahhhhhh), which we enjoyed!  The summer was so packed with activities that it was nice to finally have some time to just "hang out."
The boys had fun hanging out at mom and dad's and helping with chores (ika getting dirty).  They were finally big enough to hang out in the horse pasture and do the chores by themselves.  As you can see, Grayson thought the work was so strenuous! HA
Taking a break by the barn - cute

This one is posted because I wanted a picture of Eston - he actually let me - AMAZING

This could just make the christmas card this year.  I absolutely love this picture!!!

Grandpa's birthday & more

this post is a little backwards but we will start with Eston's last baseball game.  It was a gorgeous night so Megs brought Julia and Cambell down to the game.
Look at that sweet face!
Cambell and the twins had fun playing in the sand and chalk on the fields.
And they wore a little of the sand too.  Grayson was covered from head to toe.
After teh game I grabbed this shot of all the boys with their black shoes.  Cambell was so cute.
 Sweet Pea!
Here they are playing at home plate.
Eston had a fabulous game.  He got on based each at bat and all but one of his hits went into the outfield.  Way to go Eston - We are so proud of you.
LOOK AT THOSE EYES!
July also marked Grandpa's birthday.  We celebrated with a fun day outside.  We love you Grandpa!
The boys all had a water fight.  Uncle Ja and Adam joined in the fun too.
Cambell was not very happy when daddy took the jug away to fill it.
Eston thought he was pretty funny, but Ja and Adam got him back with a little dunk in the water jug.
All of us with Grandpa!!

Grandpa and his grandkids.

Miss Taylor Kay - I love this shot.

The end of July was FFFW.  It was a perfect weekend and we all had a lot of fun.  The boys were thrilled to go fishing.  Grayson caught this little guy down by the bridge.
It wouldn't be a FFFW without the 100 ft water slide.  Grayson
Asher
Eston was quite the master fisherman.  He caught 4 fish on Friday and Grandma helped him cook it over the fire.  The boys absolutely loved it!
Saturday he caught another nice one, but we put this one back.
Eston after going down the waterslide.
check out the mud!  So much fun!!

I love this shot of Grayson fishing.  I like how the sun is reflecting in the stream.

Asher and Grayson turn 6 / Jellystone

The weekend that A&G turned 6 we were in the Quad Cities for my cousin Jessica's wedding.  When we got home on Sunday night we had everyone over for birthday cake.  It was a long weekend but the boys were so excited to have everyone over for cake.
They each had a jello cake.  Asher had a blue jello with a beach scene and Grayson had green jello with a farm scene.  The cakes were so yummy

For the twins and Brecken's birthday we all went camping at Jellystone in Austin.  It was our first camping trip of the summer and was so much fun.  It happened to be Christmas in July so they kids were able to see Santa (which was really cook).  This is a picture of all of the adults with yogi.

Siren - July 2012

We had a great time in Siren over the 4th of July.  We were able to go up for the entire week and the weather was gorgeous the entire time.  The boys spent each day in the water with Hannah and Grace.  Each day when Jake got home from work we would go out tubing or knee boarding until the kids were completely worn out!
Tim had a great time knee boarding.  He did great and was able to get up on the first attempt.  He did take a couple nice spills.
This is the beginning of his first spill!!
The boys fishing on the dock at sunset.  I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!
Another view of the boys on the dock.
The kids wanted to go faster and faster and kept asking Jake to hit more bumps.  Well, he gave them what they wanted and I was lucky enough to get it on camera.  Here is the sequence of pictures.  Watch Asher on the left hand side of the tube.

He ended up behind Grace and Grayson but no one fell off or got hurt.
Then it was Tim's turn.  Jake really gave him a run for his money!!  He finally fell off and I was lucky enough to get that one on video.  If you want to see that you will have to come over.
The kiddos having a snack on the boat.  I think they ate the entire bag of chips in about 3 minutes.
And it just wouldn't be a trip to Siren with out some dress up time with Grace.  This time one of the girls that works at the Chattering Squirrel stopped by and joined in the fun.
Grayson in one of Grace's new play dresses - Pretty fancy huh.
 Beautiful Sunset
Thank you Holly and Jake for another fantastic week!!  See you soon.
